Welcome to Saturday School!
Saturday School is a church service that has been running since 2004, designed for children from Angels through Grade 6. Its purpose is to nurture each child’s spiritual life, helping them grow in Christ and deepen their understanding of the Coptic Orthodox faith and traditions. Saturday School is centered on guiding children toward a living relationship with God. The program begins with the Agpeya prayer, followed by learning hymns and spiritual songs, encouraging active participation in the life of the Church.
Children are then divided into age-based classes, where they receive lessons drawn from an established curriculum, focusing on the stories in Holy Bible, Church feasts, life of the saints, and key spiritual themes. Each lesson is designed to bring them closer to Christ and to live out their faith in their daily lives. Lessons are reinforced through interactive activities and workshops.
Beyond the classroom, the servants strive to build strong, caring relationships with the children. Through ongoing outreach and personal support such as celebrating birthdays and milestones, they create a sense of belonging to the community. In this way, Saturday School becomes not only a place of learning and helping with their development but also true spiritual family where every child feels known and valued.
